Demand for Hyperliquid exchange-traded funds (ETFs) stalled during July and August 2026 after the funds led crypto ETF inflows in May and June, according to a report from JPMorgan. The bank attributes this deceleration to intensifying competition within the digital asset fund market.

JPMorgan Reports Shift in Hyperliquid ETF Demand

JPMorgan identified a sharp contrast in investor behavior toward Hyperliquid ETFs over the second and third quarters of 2026. The funds experienced a period of high demand throughout May and June, positioning them as leaders in inflows among cryptocurrency-linked ETFs during those months, according to the bank.

This momentum shifted in July and August. JPMorgan reports that inflows have since stalled, indicating a cooling of the initial surge that characterized the early summer period.

Impact of Increased Market Competition

The decline in Hyperliquid ETF momentum is linked to a more crowded competitive landscape. JPMorgan states that competition has mounted, which has pressured the fund’s ability to maintain its previous rate of growth.

The bank’s analysis suggests that as more options enter the crypto ETF space, investor capital is being distributed across a wider array of products, reducing the dominance previously held by Hyperliquid funds during the May and June peak.
