Hyundai Motor Company and Kia’s European Car Sales Increase by 6.4% in November

[비즈니스포스트] Hyundai Motor Company and Kia’s combined European car sales in November increased by 6.4% compared to the same period last year.

According to the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) on the 20th, Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors sold a total of 89,076 units in Europe (European Union + European Free Trade Association + UK) in November. Compared to November 2022, sales increased by 6.4%.

In detail, Hyundai sold 45,238 units and Kia sold 43,838 units, an increase of 5.8% for Hyundai and 7.1% for Kia compared to the same month last year.

Hyundai Motor Group’s market share based on European sales in November was 8.3%, up 0.1 percentage point from a year ago.

The European market share position remained in 4th place following the previous month.

Based on cumulative sales from January to November this year, Hyundai Motor Group sold 1,029,632 units, coming 4th after Renault Group (1,130,653 units) with a market share of 8.7%.

Volkswagen Group sold 277,910 units in Europe in November, coming first in sales with a market share of 25.8%. Stellantis followed in second place with 160,499 units (14.9%). Renault Group came in 3rd (102,312 units, 9.5%), and BMW Group in 5th place (86,587 units, 8.0%).
