“I can’t do it” 40.3% → 44.2% → 45.4% rise… Analysis of “Kim Gun-Hee Risk Adverse Effects”

The results of a public opinion poll on the 20th showed that the positive evaluation of President Yoon Seok-yeol’s performance of state affairs recorded the same rate as in the previous week, while the negative evaluation slightly increased. There is an analysis that ‘Kim Gun-hee risk’ etc. played a role.

As a result of a survey conducted by Realmeter, an opinion polling agency, on the evaluation of President Yoon’s state performance of 2,529 adults across the country from the 13th to the 17th, the positive evaluation was counted at 48.0%, the same as the previous week. On the other hand, negative evaluation was 45.4%, up 1.2%p from the previous week. The difference between positive and negative evaluations is 2.6%p, which is within the margin of error.

Looking at the positive evaluation trend since the 3rd week of May (16-20 days, 52.1% positive evaluation), when Realmeter started a poll related to President Yoon’s state affairs, President Yoon was in the 4th week of May (23-27 days). After recording the highest of 54.1%, it showed a decline of 52.1% (1st week of June) → 48.0% (2nd week of June).

On the other hand, the negative evaluation reached the lowest level at 37.7% in the fourth week of May, and then showed an upward trend from 40.3% to 44.2% during the same period.

Positive evaluations were raised by men (51.5%, 7.3%p↑), self-employed people (55.6%, 7.3%p↑), and the shady class (24.0%, 4.8%p↑), and negative evaluations were from those in their 60s (35.9%, 6.4%). p↑), students (44.8%, 5.5%p↑), Chungcheong-do (44.0%, 4.7%p↑), and Seoul (44.5%, 4.7%p↑).

Realmeter analyzed that even though the Yun Seok-yeol administration focused on economic issues such as suggesting economic policy directions and taking preemptive measures against rising prices, President Yun’s wife Kim Gun-hee’s visit to Bonghama and the controversy over her acquaintances had an impact on the evaluation of state affairs.

In terms of party support, the people’s power fell 0.5 percentage points to 46.8 percent from the previous week, and the Democratic Party of Korea rose 0.2 percentage points to 39.4 percent. The gap in approval ratings between the two parties was 7.4 percentage points, out of the margin of error for six consecutive weeks.

Realmeter’s poll this time was conducted in an automated way with wireless (97%) and wired (3%) responses. The response rate is 3.6%. The sampling error is ±1.9%p at the 95% confidence level.
