Actor Yang Ki-won confessed to the side effects of appetite suppressants called ‘butterfly medicine’.

On SBS ‘I want to know’ broadcast on the 23rd, the side effects and abuse of appetite suppressants were tracked, and practices taking place in the blind spot of the narcotic management system were denounced. In the process, actor Yang Ki-won also found out the identity of the drug that made him behave strangely in Hakdong Station.

Yang Ki-won, an actor who appeared in various works including the movie ‘Wind’, was arrested by the police on drug charges at dawn on April 12, 2019, near Hakdong Station in Seoul, for showing bizarre behavior. At that time, Yang Ki-won threw his fists in the air and repeatedly got up from lying on the road, and eventually even jumped into a moving car.

The police, who arrived after receiving the report, saw his condition and suspected illegal activities such as drug use. Yang Ki-won was immediately arrested and questioned as a current offender. As a result, he was far from drug use and drinking, and Yang Ki-won was released without charges.

Yang Ki-won said, “I went to a drama meeting, and since then, my body has been strange.” He said, “When something like peas is popped, it makes a sound, and hundreds of such things seem to explode from the body. It seemed,” he said.

Then, he said, “I hear hallucinations. Keep fighting, keep fighting.” He said, “I told you to prove your faith. So I hit the headlight in the left corner of the car and fell. It was so painful to roll around.”

Yang Ki-won, who said, “Ah, I am a chosen person, I am a special person,” said, “I did not drink alcohol. I did not take drugs at all.”

Around the same time, in Uijeongbu, a fire broke out on the ninth floor of an apartment building, and residents were evacuated. The arsonist was his daughter Chun (pseudonym), who lived in the house on fire. While arguing with his family, he actually took out a lighter and lit it. The parents agreed that she was also an ordinary daughter without any problems while raising her.

As a result of the investigation by the production team, it was revealed that the three people who exhibited abnormal behavior took ‘butterfly pill’, an appetite suppressant to control their weight. In order to confirm the relationship between the ‘butterfly drug’ and abnormal behavior, the production team interviewed users who actually took this drug to control their weight. Many of them answered that they had experienced side effects such as depression, hallucinations, and hallucinations. According to the informants, he could not even imagine that the easily prescribed diet pills would ruin his daily life.
