If the Bangkok North District Court decides, Miss Rakchanok is guilty of defamation. According to article 326 of the penal code this is punishable by imprisonment. without parole and no bail was allowed that day. Ms. Rakchanok will be deemed to have been sentenced to imprisonment and is being detained on a court warrant. which will immediately disqualify one from being an MP under section 101(6) and section 98(6) of the Constitution.
