The IDF announced Saturday that the arrest thwarted an imminent terror attack in the Menashe Brigade sector of the West Bank.Undercover Border Police units were involved in the operation,which targeted a senior wanted operative affiliated with the Jenin terror network.
During the raid in Wadi Burqin, security forces surrounded a building and arrested Mazarwa along with two other wanted suspects. A search of the premises revealed a Glock handgun. In a separate operation Friday, Yamam fighters, working with IDF soldiers and Shin Bet intelligence, killed a terrorist in the menashe Brigade sector who was planning an imminent attack. These counterterror operations aim to disrupt terror attacks and dismantle local terrorist networks.

During the Friday operation, Yamam fighters shot two suspects in the lower body as they attempted to flee.One was arrested, along with four additional wanted suspects. The arrested suspects and seized weapons were transferred to security forces for further examination. No Israeli forces were injured in either operation.
These recent actions follow operations in late May, when reservist forces from the Menashe Brigade, Duvdevan fighters, and Yamam forces conducted simultaneous raids near Jenin, arresting three additional cell members suspected of plotting an imminent attack. During that operation, forces discovered two M16 rifles and full magazines believed to have been intended for use in an attack. In total, seven suspects were arrested during the latest operations targeting the Jenin terror network.
