‘Junior Smiley’ provides a variety of experiences for students who are easily bound by schools and academies. By joining the ‘Junior Smiley Reporters’, you can experience various economic scenes and meet and interview the CEO, executives, and experts in each field. Articles written by students themselves are also published on the paper.

Any elementary or middle school student who wants to have a broader and more fun experience can become a junior reporter. It is expected to broaden one’s perspective by directly seeing, hearing, and writing about how the economy works and what issues are important in our society. In the process of writing an article, the ability to think and write is developed by itself.

With the publication of the preparatory issue on the 7th and the recruitment of reporters went out, nearly 200 elementary and middle school students applied for membership within two weeks. The selected reporters will begin their full-fledged activities on the 21st with the publication of Junior Smile. On the 22nd, he will visit the Financial Investment Education Center in Yeouido, Seoul to gain investment-related knowledge, and on the 24th, he will cover how the 123-story skyscraper was built at Lotte World Tower in Songpa-gu, Seoul.

On the 18th of last month, before the publication, the preliminary reporters visited the Seoul office of the Korea Exchange in Yeouido and met with Chairman Son Byung-doo. The children’s reporters listened to the explanation of the Korean stock market and asked common questions. On the 11th of this month, I met with Coupang Vice President Yoon Hye-young (e-commerce and retail sector) to learn about online distribution innovation and infrastructure development for fast delivery. This course was published in the preparatory issue and the first issue.

Right now, the number of participants is limited due to Corona 19, but in the future, we plan to conduct various activities where more junior Sanggle reporters can participate.

The doors of the Junior Smileys reporters are still open. Students who wish to apply can fill out the application form on the Junior Sanggle Single website (jrsgsg.hankyung.com) and submit it.
