IKN Ready: Healthcare, Education & Social Services for ASN Transition

IKN Authority Assures Basic Services Ready for Civil Servant Relocation

Jakarta – The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) has assured that basic services are prepared to welcome the relocation of civil servants (ASNs). These essential services include healthcare, education, social security, and freedom of religion.

Troy Pantouw, Special Staff for Public Communication at OIKN, stated that these basic services are a constitutional right of citizens that the government is obligated to provide, including ASNs and their families who will reside in IKN.

“The provision of basic services is key to enabling ASNs to relocate and work peacefully in IKN,” Troy said in a written statement on Monday, February 9, 2026.

Based on the 1945 Constitution, OIKN is currently focused on fulfilling basic services within the Core Central Government Area (KIPP). Director of Basic Services at OIKN, Suwito, explained that four hospitals are currently available, with three already operational.

These healthcare facilities include Hermina Nusantara Hospital, Mayapada Nusantara Hospital, and RSUP Kemenkes Nusantara.

“The availability of hospital beds in IKN has reached two to three beds per 1,000 residents, exceeding the national standard of a minimum of one bed per 1,000 residents,” he explained.

OIKN is also promoting preventative measures through disease control, such as dengue fever. This is being done through environmental control, the introduction of fish into retention basins as natural mosquito larvae predators, and public education.

Suwito explained that OIKN is implementing a Free Health Check (CKG) program twice a year. This program aims to map the health conditions of employees so that preventative measures can be taken early on.

“CKG results show that more than 30 percent of employees under the age of 30 experience hyperglycemia, accompanied by increased cholesterol and blood pressure. This is a serious concern, and ASNs need to adopt a healthy lifestyle,” he said.

Regarding education services, OIKN has prepared the operation of an integrated school in KIPP, from early childhood education to high school, which will begin in the new school year.

Several educational institutions will also be operational soon, including Taruna Nusantara School, Garuda School, the Ministry of Religious Affairs integrated school, and four international schools, namely Nusantara Intercultural School (NIS), Australian Independent School Nusantara (AIS), Sekolah Islam Al-Azhar Summarecon Nusantara, and Sekolah Bina Bangsa Nusantara.

The OIKN is also providing quality assurance support to 43 existing schools in the KIPP area as part of the preparation of the education ecosystem. “The education sector in IKN is now ready to support the relocation of the Capital Nusantara,” he explained.

For social security, BPJS Kesehatan services are available at Hermina Nusantara Hospital and Mayapada Nusantara Hospital. BPJS Ketenagakerjaan services for work accidents and occupational diseases are also accessible in the KIPP IKN area.

OIKN is also preparing for the operation of the IKN State Mosque, which is planned to begin operations during Ramadan 1447 Hijri or 2026 AD. OIKN has coordinated worship services at 12 mosques and 37 prayer rooms in the KIPP area.

“We have prepared the IKN State Mosque as a center for worship and togetherness. We invite all Friends of the OIKN Authority to enliven Ramadan at the IKN State Mosque, which will also be equipped with a Ramadan bazaar and iftar snacks,” he concluded.
