Iman Shreds Billionaire Elon Musk: A Scathing Takedown in a Heart-Wrenching Interview
Imane Khelif Slams Elon Musk for Fueling Abuse Campaign
Imane Khelif, the first Olympic gold medalist in women’s boxing, has spoken out against Elon Musk for fueling the abuse campaign against her during the Paris Olympics. Khelif, who won the gold medal in the women’s 66kg boxing event, faced constant online hate throughout the games, especially after her victory.
The 25-year-old Algerian boxer has always competed in the women’s boxing division and was identified as female from birth. Despite being allowed to compete in Paris by the International Olympic Committee, Khelif received constant online abuse, with many questioning her eligibility to compete in the women’s division.
Elon Musk, the owner of social media platform X, was one of the first people to attack Khelif, sharing a post by American swimmer Riley Gaines that said, “Men don’t belong in women’s sports.” Musk responded with, “Of course.”

Khelif has now spoken out against Musk, calling his actions “cruel” in a tearful interview on a French TV show. “Elon Musk was one of the first people to attack me during this hate campaign,” she said. “He posted this video and it got retweeted, so he was one of the first people to spread this buzz, this campaign, against me.”
Khelif has filed a legal complaint against Musk-owned social media platform X, accusing the platform of encouraging “serious cyberbullying.” The lawsuit also names J.K. Rowling and Donald Trump, among others, for their role in the abuse campaign.
Khelif’s lawyer, Nabil Boudi, said, ”What we are asking is that the prosecution investigate not only these people but also anyone else they deem necessary. If the case goes to court, they will be tried.”
Khelif has vowed to come back stronger and more motivated in the future, despite the abuse she faced. “I hope to come back stronger and more motivated in the future,” she said. “I am a practicing Muslim woman, and I have overcome this moment.”
