“You can do it. I’ve been standing like this for 25 minutes and I have to do something.”

“There is a temporary stop in the middle of the climb. I thought that was it, but it happened like this once or twice or three times, and then it didn’t work, so I called 119 after that.”

At the time of isolation, winds of up to 10 meters per second were blowing in Daegwallyeong, Pyeongchang, and the perceived temperature was below minus 20 degrees Celsius.

The ski resort rushed to recover the machine, but most of the passengers had to fight against the fierce cold for more than three hours while hanging in the air.

The fire department announced the first phase of the response, where all fire department personnel in the jurisdiction were mobilized to rescue, and at the same time deliver winter goods to passengers to prevent additional accidents such as hypothermia.

Fortunately, there were no major injuries such as falls.

The ski center said it would investigate the cause of the malfunction and compensate the passengers for damage.
