Inaugurated; But surprisingly, the construction of the bridge did not start

Kunchithanni: It is alleged that the construction of the bridge was not started even though the tender was done after allocating funds and opening the bridge. The construction of the bridge at Ambhachal on the Anachal road has not started due to darkness. It is a river that floods during the rainy season.

In the 2021-22 budget, five crore rupees have been allocated for the construction of the bridge. It has been almost 16 months since the funds were allocated. Meanwhile, the Minister of the Department inaugurated the construction of the bridge two months ago. Anchal Road is a bypass road of the Kochi-Dhanushkodi National Highway.

Vehicles pass through this route when there is a traffic jam on the national highway. Vehicles including heavy vehicles from Adimali to Munnar, Marayur, Rajakkad and Bison Valley and small and large vehicles of tourists pass through this bridge. Only one vehicle at a time, be it small or large vehicles, can pass through it. There are often traffic jams here when there is a rush of tourists. In this situation, the locals demanded that the bridge work should start as soon as possible.
