Incheon Northern Office of Education Launches AI Vocational Training for Special Education Students

The Incheon Northern District Office of Education launched a specialized vocational training program titled AI로 만드는 스마트 세상 (A Smart World Created by AI) to provide artificial intelligence education for 112 students receiving special education. Running from May to October, the initiative aims to equip students with disabilities with digital competencies and practical vocational skills to improve their future employment prospects, according to a report by Media Life.

The program is managed by the Special Education Support Center of the Incheon Northern District Office of Education. Under the leadership of Superintendent Park Kwan-soo, the office designed the curriculum to bridge the digital divide for students who typically face higher barriers to accessing advanced technology training. The course focuses on the practical application of AI tools to create a “smart world,” shifting the focus from theoretical knowledge to vocational utility.
