Goalkeeper PR Sreejesh showcased his exceptional talent as he entered the field in the last quarter, ensuring the Pakistani attackers were kept at bay. India took a two-goal lead in the first half of the match at the Mayor Radhakrishna Stadium. Captain Harmanpreet Singh scored India’s first goal from a penalty kick in the 15th minute of the first quarter. Harman netted for the second time in the 24th minute of the second quarter. This goal also came from a penalty kick. Jugraj Singh made it 3-0 in the 36th minute of the third quarter. This time too, the net moved through the penalty corner.
