The Sensex Index rose more than 500 points on the back of India’s Consumer Price Index (CPI), which indicates that inflation has peaked.
The BSE S&P Sensex Index closed at 60,655.72, up 562.75 points, or 0.94%.
Consumer stocks led the market today.
