Indonesia Eximbank Fuels $1.6 Billion in Exports, Bolstering National Industries

Indonesia Eximbank (LPEI) has disbursed IDR26 trillion (approximately US$1.6 billion) in financing through its Export Special assignment Program (PKE) as of June 2025, substantially boosting Indonesian exports across diverse sectors and contributing to national economic resilience. The program has facilitated trade with over 90 countries globally,generating US$4.18 million in foreign exchange revenue.
PKE Program: A Catalyst for Export Growth
The PKE program isn’t simply about financial assistance; it’s a strategic initiative designed to empower Indonesian businesses, particularly Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), to compete on the international stage. Maqin U. Norhadi, Acting Managing Director of Business Progress at Indonesia Eximbank, highlighted the program’s success during a recent media briefing in Labuan Bajo, east Nusa Tenggara.
This financing has supported the export of a wide array of Indonesian products, demonstrating the nation’s growing manufacturing and industrial capabilities. Key export commodities include:
High-Tech Manufacturing: Aircraft (CN 235 and NC212i models), trains, and related components.
Healthcare: Vaccines (polio, diphtheria, tuberculosis), syringes, and blood bags.
Consumer & Industrial Goods: Furniture, processed food, and chemical products.
Supporting Strategic National Industries
A crucial aspect of the PKE program is its focus on bolstering Indonesia’s Strategic National Industries. Eximbank financing has directly enabled significant export contracts, including:
Aerospace: CN 235 Medium Aircraft Wing exports to nepal, CN 235-220 Maritime Patrol Aircraft to Senegal, and NC212i aircraft to the Philippines. These deals underscore Indonesia’s growing prominence in the regional aerospace industry.
Rail Transportation: Exports of container Flat Top Wagons to New Zealand, passenger coaches to bangladesh, and Landing Platform Deck vessels to the United Arab Emirates demonstrate Indonesia’s capabilities in heavy engineering and infrastructure support.
Healthcare Security: The export of vital medical supplies like syringes,blood bags,and vaccines to countries in the United States,Egypt,Tanzania,Malaysia,India,Nigeria,and Pakistan strengthens global health security while showcasing Indonesian pharmaceutical production.
Investing in Tourism and Regional Development
The PKE program extends beyond manufacturing and infrastructure,actively contributing to Indonesia’s tourism sector. Over IDR1 trillion (approximately US$61.6 million) in blended financing, in collaboration with commercial banks, has been allocated to develop Super Priority Tourism Destinations, with a particular focus on Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara.This investment aims to enhance tourism infrastructure, attract international visitors, and stimulate local economic growth.

The PKE program is backed by substantial financial resources, including:
Eximbank Financing: IDR26 trillion (US$1.6 billion) directly disbursed through the PKE program.
State Capital Injection (PMN): IDR13.7 trillion (approximately US$843 million) in state budget support.
These funds are strategically allocated to key regions and sectors, including Africa, South Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Latin America, SME exports, and the transportation equipment industries. Indonesia Eximbank continues to prioritize expanding its reach and supporting Indonesian businesses in navigating the complexities of international trade.
