The Indonesian under-23 football team, led by coach Shin Tae-yong, lost to Uzbekistan and postponed securing a ticket to Paris until the next opportunity.
Indonesia lost 0-2 to Uzbekistan in the semi-finals of the Asian Football Confederation under-23 Asian Cup held in Doha, Qatar.
Indonesia, who were pushed to third place, will face Iraq, who lost 0-2 to Japan in the other semi-final, for a ticket to Paris.
The top 3 in this competition will progress directly to the finals of the Olympic Games in Paris, while the 4th place will go through an intercontinental play-off to decide whether they will progress to Paris or not.
