President Prabowo Subianto has signed a Presidential Regulation (Perpres) hiking the performance allowance (tukin) for personnel within the Ministry of Defense (Kemhan) and the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI). The allowance rate has jumped from 70 percent to 90 percent.

The shift to a 90 percent allowance represents a significant increase over the previous 70 percent threshold, according to CNBC Indonesia. The Palace stated the move is designed to support the welfare of soldiers and civil servants tasked with maintaining national sovereignty and defense.
