According to Prabowo, reducing Indonesia’s reliance on rice imports is contributing to a drop in prices worldwide, potentially by hundreds of dollars. He indicated that numerous countries have expressed gratitude to Indonesia for this affect.
“We are not only helping the Indonesian people, we are also helping people around the world. Why is that because if we don’t import rice,the world price of rice will fall,by hundreds of dollars,” he said.
“So manny countries are grateful to us,” Prabowo added.
