One point about oysters

  • If the stem is green, it is good quality.
  • It is delicious if the color is even and the colors are bright.
  • The brown dots called sesame are discolored tannins.

How to store oysters

Store in a plastic bag in a cool, dark place. If you want to store it for a long time, put it in a plastic bag with the stem facing up and put it in the crisper.

Oyster ingredients and effectiveness

Astringent ingredients prevent hangovers.
Plenty of vitamin C

There are many types of oysters, including Fuyugaki and Jirogaki. While it has a strong sweetness, it also contains a unique astringent component. Shivol is a type of tannin. It is expected to suppress the harmful effects of alcohol, and is useful in preventing hangovers. It also contains water and potassium, which also helps eliminate alcohol. It’s also high in vitamin C, with one serving providing the required daily dose. Vitamin C has an antioxidant effect, but it also contains many types of carotenoids such as cryptoxanthin and lycopene, which have even stronger antioxidant effects and are recommended for anti-aging. Dried persimmons reduce vitamin C, but instead increase beta-carotene, potassium, and dietary fiber compared to fresh fruits.
