The Imperial Hotel Tokyo is hosting the British Fair 2024, a celebration of British culture through food and events, from September 1st to October 31st. This year’s event marks the ninth year of the fair, which has already gained popularity among guests. The Imperial Lounge Aqua, a bar lounge on the 17th floor of the main building, offers a Royal Afternoon Tea supervised by the executive chef of the British Embassy in Japan, while the hotel shop Gargantua on the first floor of the main building sells a variety of prepared foods, bakery goods, cakes, and more.

Royal Afternoon Tea

The menu consists of traditional British dishes based on embassy recipes, as well as original dishes such as “45°”, a cake created in 2022 by Imperial Hotel Tokyo’s Head Chef Yu Sugimoto that evokes feelings for Britain.
