Intense heat continues in the North, increasing in the South

According to the National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting, on April 28, many places recorded the highest temperature peak since the beginning of summer. In Dong Ha (Quang Tri), the temperature reached 43.2 degrees Celsius, while areas such as Son La, Hoa Binh, Ha Tinh, and Quang Binh commonly reached 40-42 degrees Celsius.

In Hanoi and the Northern Delta, the temperature decreased slightly compared to the previous day but still maintained a high level of 37-39 degrees Celsius. Hot weather and intense heat continued on the second day of the holiday.

On April 29, extremely intense heat continued in Son La, Hoa Binh and from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen. These areas recorded the highest temperature of 39-42 degrees Celsius, with some places above 42 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, other places in the North, Central Highlands and South are hot at 36-39 degrees Celsius. From Khanh Hoa to Binh Thuan, the weather is more pleasant when the highest temperature only reaches 35-36 degrees. C.

The heat in the North and Central regions is likely to gradually decrease from May 1-2, while it will last in the Central Highlands and the South until around May 4-5.
