Inter Miami Fined by CONCACAF after Loss to Monterrey in Champions Cup Quarterfinals

Florida: The CONCACAF disciplinary committee fined Inter Miami led by Argentina star Lionel Messi. The action comes after losing two legs of the quarter round of the CONCACAF Champions Cup against Monterrey of Mexico.

The fine was for not providing adequate security for the first leg of the April 3 game at Chase Stadium, Miami’s home field. However, the authorities have not disclosed the amount of the fine. After Inter Miami’s loss, there were unfortunate events at the stadium.

Miami lost 2-1 in the game and lost 3-1 in the away game in Mexico. The committee has warned Inter Miami officials that they will face more serious action if the incidents repeat themselves in future matches.
