Introducing Huawei Free Clip: The Ultimate Wireless Earphones

「Huawei Free Clip」

Huawei Japan is accepting support for HUAWEI FreeClip, fully wireless headphone-like earphones that are said to be comfortable to wear and stable, on the crowdfunding site GREEN FUNDING until February 1, 2024. The price at the time of sale general is 27,800 yen, but in limited quantities we will have a very early bird discount scheme of 22,796 yen with 18% off. If the project is completed, the products will be delivered sequentially from the beginning of February 2024.

Color variants are black and purple. The actual device will be on display at Tsutaya Home Appliances in Futakotamagawa, Tokyo until February 1, 2024.

Fully wireless in-ear headphones that took more than three years to develop. The “C bridge design” uses a wire made of nickel-titanium alloy, a high performance shape memory alloy, to ensure overwhelming comfort and stability. It has passed about 25,000 bending tests, and because it is designed parallel to the core wire, it is said to be very elastic and durable, and also easy to install.

The earphones adopt a spherical design and consist of three main parts: the “acoustic ball”, “C-bridge”, and “comfort bean”, and are ergonomically designed based on data from over 10,000 of human ears.

The acoustic ball section is equipped with a dual magnet dynamic driver with a diameter of approximately 10.8mm. The dual magnet circuit design increases magnetic induction strength, and the symmetrical vent design provides powerful bass. Depending on the music genre, you can switch between EQ modes like vocal boost, treble boost, and bass boost from a dedicated app. When adjusting the sound, the earphones automatically adjust the way you hear, so you can hear it consistently even at different volumes. We will provide a unique listening experience.”

A reverse sound wave system has also been introduced to reduce sound leakage. “While smartly adjusting the sound, we also cleverly cancel the sound waves with inverted sound waves to prevent sound leakage.”The playback frequency band is 20Hz to 20kHz. Compliant with Bluetooth 5.3, the codec supports SBC, AAC, and L2HC, and allows multi-point connection for up to two devices.

The earphones have a symmetrical design, and the left and right automatic recognition function automatically recognizes the left and right ears when wearing them. As well as using both ears, you can also use one ear. In addition to dual microphones and a bone conduction VPU sensor, the microphone uses a unique DNN (deep neural network) multi-channel noise reduction algorithm to achieve excellent call performance even in crowded outdoors.

Also compatible with touch controls. Using accelerometers and advanced AI algorithms in-house, touch controls are pinpointed, allowing users to tap anywhere on the earphones (acoustic ball, C-bridge, comfort bean) with one or multiple fingers to operate a can.

The earbuds can provide up to 8 hours of continuous music playback on their own, and up to 36 hours of continuous playback when combined with the charging case. The charging time is about 40 minutes for the earphones and about 60 minutes for the case (wired), and the earphones also support fast charging, allowing up to 3 hours of use with about 10 a minute of charging.

The main body is IP54 dustproof and splashproof. The external dimensions of the earphones are approximately 22 x 25.3 x 26.7 mm (width x depth x height), and the charging case is approximately 51.95 x 27.35 x 59.7 mm (same). The earphones alone weigh about 5.6g, and the charging case weighs about 45.8g.
