Inversion Space Secures $44 Million to Revolutionize Cargo Delivery from Space
Inversion Space, based in Los Angeles, has raised $44 million to develop reentry vehicles for cargo delivery from space. The funding round, announced on November 20, was led by Spark Capital and Adjacent, with Lockheed Martin Ventures, Kindred Ventures, and Y Combinator also participating. This brings the company’s total funding to $54 million, including a $10 million seed round in 2021.
The company is focused on developing a vehicle named Arc. This vehicle aims to provide “precision delivery on-demand” from space to Earth, with its first flight planned for 2026. Inversion plans to use the new funds to expand its team from 25 to about 70 employees and relocate to a larger facility.

Justin Fiaschetti: We’ve recently secured a reentry license from the FAA for Ray, and we’re preparing for its upcoming orbit mission. While we faced some delays with our initial planned launch on SpaceX’s Transporter-12 mission, we remain committed to progressing both Ray and Arc.
