Investigating two reporters being attacked while working at a factory fire

On the night of April 23, Thanh Tri District Police (Hanoi) received reports from two reporters, NVC and MHM, about being assaulted while filming and reporting on a fire in the area.

According to the report of two reporters NVC (VTV Times newspaper) and MHM (Vnexpress newspaper), at about 6:25 p.m. on April 23, they received news of a factory fire in Viet Yen village (Ngu Hiep commune, Thanh Tri district). , Hanoi) then came to work.

During the course of their work, two reporters stood at the Phap Van – Cau Gie expressway (about 50m from the fire scene) to record videos when suddenly three male subjects approached them, using vulgar and abusive language. slander, threaten and obstruct.

Also according to the report of two reporters, when they were beaten and injured, they shouted and ran towards the authorities on duty when three subjects continued to chase and kick them, causing their personal phones to fall and break. .

Immediately after the incident, two reporters went to Thanh Tri District Police headquarters to report. At the police station, the Criminal Police Team instructed reporters to file reports, take testimonies and collect photos and videos to record the incident.

At 11 p.m. the same day, the authorities took two reporters to the Agricultural Hospital to check their injuries and assess their injuries.
