Chinese media “Daily Economic News” reported that an Apple direct-operated store in Shenzhen saw many “scalpers” at the sales site today. As soon as they saw consumers walking out of the store, they immediately approached them and asked if they wanted to buy new phones. One scalper said, “The price of iPhone 15 Pro Max is about 700 yuan more, and the blue one is not available. 512GB is the best, and 1TB is not easy to sell.” As for iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro, fewer people buy it.
In addition, other scalpers said that they can purchase the 256GB iPhone 15 Pro Max for an additional price of 600 yuan (about NT$2,640); the 512GB blue model can only be purchased for a maximum of 400 to 500 yuan (about NT$1,760 to 2,200 yuan).
Chinese scalpers also claimed that if Apple fans want to buy it, they will price it based on the color and storage capacity of the model. Among them, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will cost an additional RMB 1,500 (approximately NT$6,600). Compared with the scalpers who purchased the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the price will increase by RMB 500. Yuan to 700 yuan (about NT$2,200 to 3,080 yuan), that is to say, they can make a net profit of almost 1 times the price difference by selling one mobile phone.
