A 48-year-old man was arrested in the San Jacinto urbanization of Maracaibo, Venezuela, on December 17, 2025, following ⁣an inquiry ‍by the Maracaibo Municipal Delegation of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc). He is accused of stealing merchandise from⁢ the shipping company where he was employed as a security guard.

Authorities allege the suspect exploited his ⁢position and ⁢access during⁢ night hours to unlawfully enter the company’s warehouse in the Zapara II sector.

Modus Operandi and Recovered Evidence

How the Theft Occurred

The Cicpc’s coordination of Investigations of Crimes Against Property resolute the suspect breached warehouse security with the intent to steal high-value items for resale. This conclusion was reached through analysis of surveillance footage and interviews conducted at the scene.

During the arrest operation, investigators recovered 11 iPhone smartphones. the suspect reportedly planned to sell these devices for personal financial gain.

Legal Proceedings

The suspect has ⁣been taken into custody and the case has been transferred to the 39th Prosecutor’s office of the Public Ministry of the state of Zulia. The⁤ Public Ministry will formally file theft charges based on the physical‍ evidence ⁣and testimonies ⁤gathered by the investigative commission.
