IPL 2022 | Anuj Rawat (66); Kohli (48); Bangalore beat Mumbai by seven wickets; Mumbai suffered their fourth defeat

Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Mumbai Indians by seven wickets in the IPL. Bangalore chased down Mumbai’s 152-run target in 18.3 overs for the loss of three wickets. Bangalore won the toss and elected to bat.

Anuj Rawat scored 66 off 47 balls with six sixes and two fours. Kohli’s innings consisted of five fours off 36 balls. This is Mumbai’s fourth defeat this season. With the loss, Mumbai slipped to last place in the points table, while Bangalore climbed to third place with their third win in four games.

Captain Faf Duplessis and Anuj Rawat opened the innings for Bangalore with a 152-run victory. The duo parted ways after adding 50 runs in 8.1 overs. Duplessis’ 16 off 24 balls was broken by Jaidev Unadghat.

The Kohli-Rawat duo, who later teamed up at the crease, won the match from Mumbai. After both were eliminated, Dinesh Karthik (7 *) and Glenn Maxwell (8 *) put Bangalore ahead.

Earlier, Mumbai lost the toss and opted to bat, scoring 151 for six in the allotted 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav, who scored 68 not out, led Mumbai to a comfortable victory.

Surya’s innings consisted of five fours and six sixes off 37 balls. Vanindu Hasaranga and Herschelle Patel took two wickets each for Bangalore.
