The National Lottery of Ireland has recorded a series of high-value payouts throughout late 2025 and the first quarter of 2026, including a multi-million euro jackpot and several seven-figure prizes distributed across various counties.
The most significant windfall of the current year occurred on February 25, 2026, when a Lotto player in County Mayo won €11,101,286. This payout marked the first Lotto Jackpot winner of 2026.
First Quarter Windfalls and Jackpot Trends
The February 25 win in Mayo was accompanied by broader success across the National Lottery’s draws, with more than 82,000 players winning prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws on that date. The winning numbers for the jackpot were 19, 20, 22, 25, 28, 43, with a bonus number of 1.
Further significant wins were recorded in mid-March. On March 15, 2026, a player in County Kildare won the top prize of €1 million in the 9pm Daily Million draw. According to National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Orr, this winner became the 5th National Lottery millionaire of 2026
.
This win followed a payout on March 14, 2026, where a player in County Cork won €1,000,500 through a special Lotto Plus Raffle event. While the Lotto Plus Raffle typically awards prizes of €500 to between 60 and 120 winners per draw, the special event on March 14 resulted in the higher windfall for the Cork player.
Late 2025 Payouts
The trend of large payouts began in late 2025. On December 4, 2025, the National Lottery announced that a player in County Westmeath won a prize totaling €6,241,505.
Earlier, on November 2, 2025, two separate players won the top prize of €1 million each in the Lotto Plus 1 draw. The National Lottery confirmed that one winning ticket was sold in Dublin and the other in Cork. The winning numbers for that draw were 05, 15, 16, 18, 25, 31, and the bonus was 22.
It has been a big weekend for Lotto players nationwide with two players becoming overnight millionaires following Saturday’s Lotto Plus 1 draw.

Recent Syndicate and EuroMillions Activity
Recent reports indicate continued high-value wins as of April 2026. A player has reportedly scooped a seven-figure prize in a EuroMillions draw, and two separate syndicates have claimed €1 million prizes in Cork and Athlone.
In Roscommon, local retail outlets have urged ticket holders to verify their numbers to determine if they have won a million-euro prize.
The National Lottery maintains a standardized claims process for these high-value wins, advising winners to sign the back of their tickets and contact the Prize Claims team via email at claims@lottery.ie or by phone at 1800 666 222 to arrange collection at Lottery HQ.
