Israeli Forces Recover Bodies of Hostages in Gaza
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Thursday the recovery of the bodies of two Israeli-American hostages, Judy Weinstein-Hagi, 70, and gadi Hagi, 72. The couple, from kibbutz Nir Oz near the Gaza border, were dual citizens; Judy also held Canadian citizenship.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israel Security Agency (Shin bet) conducted a special operation in the Khan Younis area of southern Gaza Strip to recover the remains, Netanyahu said.The couple was killed during Hamas‘ Oct. 7, 2023, attack, their bodies then abducted.
