The International Astronomy Center announced that seeing the crescent of Shawwal today, Monday, is impossible from all regions of the Islamic world.
Dr. said. Shawkat Odeh, head of the center, said in his statements that seeing the crescent is impossible because the moon sets before the sun and because the conjunction occurs after sunset.
The center added that seeing the crescent moon tomorrow, Tuesday, is possible with the naked eye from many regions of the Islamic world.
The International Astronomy Center stated that the day after tomorrow, Wednesday, April 10, marks the first day of Eid al-Fitr, based on the sighting of the crescent moon.
In a related context, the Egyptian Fatwa House is looking at the crescent of Shawwal 1445 AH after sunset on Monday.
