The Marseille-based theater company 6T théâtre is presenting a production titled Itinéraire bis on May 12, 2026. Developed in collaboration with the préfecture des Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, the performance focuses on road safety, specifically addressing the relationship between elderly individuals, and driving.

The production is designed as a piece of théâtre forum, an interactive format that encourages direct participation from the audience. Rather than a traditional static performance, the play presents specific problematic scenarios and opens a debate with the viewers to identify potential solutions.

Nicolas Violin, the co-director of 6T théâtre, stated that the objective is to discuss driving aptitudes in a playful manner. He emphasized that the intent is not to stigmatize an older generation but to address the realities of driving as one ages.

Beyond the individual experience of the drivers, the play aims to engage local governments. The production seeks to encourage these authorities to implement viable alternatives to car ownership and usage for the elderly.

The interactive nature of the show allows members of the audience to move from their seats and join the performers on stage. These participants are invited to submit and test proposals to resolve the conflicts and problems encountered by the characters in the story.
