IU Celebrates 16 Years of Music with a Heart of Gold: Singer Donates 225 Million Won to Mark Special Milestone
Singer IU Performs at the ‘2024 IU HER WORLD TOUR CONCERT’
Singer IU donated 225 million won under the name ’IUana’, a combination of her name and her fandom name (Uaena), to commemorate the 16th anniversary of her debut on the 18th.
IU’s agency, EDAM Entertainment, stated, “We donated to the Korean Children’s Incurable Disease Association, Milk Delivery for the Elderly, Hansarang Village, and Hansarang Infant Home.” The donations will be used for treatment, education, psychological counseling, and medical supplies for children with rare incurable diseases, milk delivery for the elderly, and facility replacement costs for the severely disabled.
IU, who has donated every year since her debut, said, “Thanks to my fan club, Yuaena, I have gained a heart full of love and values,” and “I am happy that I can do meaningful work every year in the name of IUaena.”
