iVisit Boxing Announces Record-Breaking Attendance Attempt in San⁢ Francisco

Live sports entertainment organization iVisit Boxing (iVB) has announced plans to host a‍ boxing event at San Francisco’s Civic Centre plaza on July 11th, aiming to surpass the current record for the largest​ attendance at a boxing event.

The current record stands at 135,132 attendees, set ‌during the ⁢Tony Zale vs.Billy Pryor fight‌ at Juneau Park in ​Milwaukee in 1941. iVB intends to exceed​ this number with its San Francisco event.

Event Details and⁣ iVB’s Vision

The ‍event will be held in an open-air arena at civic Center Plaza and streamed live on YouTube. iVB Chief Executive Ed Pereira stated the attempt is ​intended to benefit San Francisco, its boxing fans, fighters, and communities, emphasizing the organization’s belief that boxing should be ⁢fan-centric. San Francisco Civic Center Plaza is a ‌major public gathering space.

Heavyweight championship Fight⁣ Rumors

Recent‍ reports suggested a potential ⁣bout‌ between WBA, IBF, and WBC⁤ heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and Deontay Wilder at this event. However, BBC Sport reports that, as of January 17, 2026, no agreement ​is currently in place for this fight to occur⁢ at the San⁢ Francisco event.
