Jacqueline Kinsella has been appointed General Manager of Operations and Business Development at Moy Valley Resources, stepping into the organization’s most senior management role following ratification by the Board of Directors. Announced on September 24, 2026, the appointment places Kinsella in charge of day-to-day management and the ongoing development of the not-for-profit community development company serving North Mayo and West Sligo.
Career Progression and Community Employment Leadership
A Kildare native, Kinsella joined Moy Valley Resources in 2015, working initially with the Community Services team before transitioning to the Community Employment Programme in 2017. Between 2017 and 2026, she served as a Community Employment Supervisor, supporting up to 46 participants across North Mayo and West Sligo to build skills, gain work experience, and transition toward employment. Moy Valley Resources operates the largest community employment scheme in North Mayo.
Alongside her employment program duties, Kinsella has worked as Operations Manager at the Greenhills Enterprise Centre at Bunree, Ballina, since 2018. Since the facility opened in 2024, she has also held the role of Operations Manager at Innovation Quarter (IQ) Ballina as part of the Moy Valley Resources team. In that capacity, she collaborates with strategic partners Mayo County Council and Local Enterprise Office Mayo to manage daily operations and support businesses and clients based in the complex. IQ Ballina has been shortlisted for a national award in the “Promoting Economic Development” category of the 2026 Excellence in Local Government Awards, hosted by Chambers Ireland.
Academic Qualifications and Future Strategy
Kinsella has pursued continuous professional development throughout her tenure with the organization. Her educational credentials include degrees in Business Management Applications and Business, including an Honours Degree in Business. At present, she is working toward an Honours Degree in Accounting Technology, having recently obtained a Special Purpose Award in Training and Development alongside credentials in event management and legal studies.
In her new role, Kinsella will apply her business expertise to foster the continued development of Moy Valley Resources, support its financial sustainability, and expand its community outreach across the region. She succeeds former CEO Annette Maughan, whose leadership contributed to the organization, as Moy Valley Resources moves forward with a newly structured general manager position centered on operational sustainability.
Jacqueline has demonstrated exceptional commitment to Moy Valley Resources over many years. Because of her background spanning organizational operations, employment programs, and community development, she is exceptionally well-suited to guide the entity into its next stage of growth.
