Democratic Party presidential nominee Lee Jae-myung reaffirmed the prevailing theory despite the bad news of ‘the suspicion of preferential treatment for the Daejang-dong development project’ by winning a majority of the votes in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam (Bu, Ul, Gyeong) rounds on the 2nd. Candidate Nak-yeon Lee stayed in second place with 33.62%.

Candidate Jae-myung Lee was voted 3 valid votes as a result of online, automatic response (ARS), and on-site voting by delegates, Rights Party members, and General People’s Party members at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Tour held at the Conference Hall of the Busan Port International Exhibition and Convention Center (BPEX) in Dong-gu, Busan on the afternoon of the same day. Out of 5,832 votes, he received 19,698 (55.34%) votes, beating Lee Nak-yeon, who got 11,969 votes (33.62%), and took first place.

Candidate Jae-myung Lee received 1,013 votes (58.96%) in the delegates vote and 18,678 votes (55.16%) in the votes for the rights party, both of the delegates and the rights party members, winning a majority of the votes, ahead of candidate Lee Nak-yeon.

Candidate Nak-yeon Lee, who placed 2nd place, won 571 votes (33.24%) in the national representative vote and 11,389 votes (33.64%) in the right party vote.

Candidate Choo Mi-ae came in third place with 3,468 votes (9.74%), and Candidate Yong-jin Park came in fourth place with 461 votes (1.30%).

Although the vote was held amidst the allegations of large-scale movement aimed at candidate Lee Jae-myung shaking the political circles this time, it is interpreted that it had little effect on Lee Jae-myung.

Looking at the cumulative vote rate, Candidate Jae-myung Lee received a majority with 53.51% (365,500 votes), firmly maintaining the first place.

Candidate Nak-yeon Lee stayed in second place with 34.67% of the votes (236,804 votes), behind Candidate Jae-myung Lee. The difference between the two candidates’ cumulative votes rose slightly from 18.68%p to 18.84%p.

Candidate Choo Mi-ae came in third place with 10.58% of the votes (72,285 votes), and Candidate Yong-jin Park came in fourth place with 1.24% (8476 votes).

A total of 1,03465 electoral votes accumulated so far, with a cumulative turnout of 69.04% (711,464 votes).

Candidate Jae-myung Lee met with reporters on the same day and said about the possibility of going directly to the final without a runoff vote, “It’s a wish, but I can’t do anything about it, and I will humbly wait for the result.”

Meanwhile, on the 3rd, the Democratic Party of Korea will hold the Incheon regional primaries. The Incheon Tour will be held during the ‘2nd Super Week’, in which the voting results of the 2nd National and General Party members’ electoral colleges of about 490,000 are also announced.

If Candidate Jae-myung Lee gets a majority of the votes in the 2nd Super Week, he will cross the ridgeline of the 9th division straight to the finals.
