Jae-myung Lee, “Please actively promote the national disaster relief fund…isn’t the national debt a problem”

Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung said, “I ask that you actively promote the issue of additional payment of disaster aid that can take care of the lives of all citizens and revitalize the economy.”

Candidate Lee made this request to the party at the Democratic Party’s first election meeting today, saying, “We must take care of the livelihoods of the small business owners who have been directly affected by the corona virus and the people who have been indirectly affected extensively.”

Candidate Lee also said that the minimum limit for corona loss compensation should be raised and new alternatives should be prepared for those who are excluded from compensation for losses.

Regarding the financial controversy, Candidate Lee said, “Korea has a high household debt ratio and the national debt ratio is the lowest in the world.”

“It is necessary to recognize that the national debt ratio is not a major obstacle,” he said.

Regarding real estate reform, Candidate Lee said, “It is the most difficult problem that will impede the lives of the people. In the end, it is true that the majority of the people suffer because a certain minority and corrupt political forces monopolize the unearned income.”

Then, while emphasizing the promotion of a complete return of real estate development profits, an upper limit on sale prices, and disclosure of sale prices, he asked, “I ask for a complete revision of the systems that facilitated private development created by the People’s Power government.”

In addition, Candidate Lee said, “There is an act of deliberately spreading fake news using privileges granted to protect democracy. It has to be erased,” he said.
