Jane Seymour’s granddaughter, Willa, is already developing a keen eye for fashion, thanks to access to a unique collection. The actress revealed that 7-year-old Willa has discovered her extensive closet, filled wiht vintage pieces from Seymour’s film and television career.
Seymour’s closet boasts an impressive array of garments.These include 1940s-era clothes designed by Nolan Miller for “Crossings,” individual pieces by Karl Lagerfeld, and outfits created by David Emanuel for “War and Remembrance.”
Seymour said, “And I’ve got some amazing selection of clothes from all the movies I’ve been in.So all the beautiful ’40s clothes that the late Nolan Miller did for me for Crossings. And I’ve got individual pieces by Karl Lagerfeld, David Emanuel designed all kinds of amazing outfits for me when I did War and Remembrance and on and on. So I have quite a history in my closet.”
Seymour added, “She’s only seven, but she has discovered my closet and my shoes.”
A Blended Family
Seymour, 74, is the mother of six children: Kalen, 56; Jenni, 45; Katherine, 43; sean, 39; and twins John and Kristopher, 29. Kalen and Jenni are her stepchildren,whom she raised. Seymour dislikes the term “stepchild,” referring to them simply as her children.
Seymour told The Guardian in 2013, “We don’t use the word stepkids. We do not distinguish. I’m very proud of all my children, and I spend a lot of time with them.”
She continued, “If I co-parent a child, as I did Kalen and Jenni, I’m incredibly close to those mothers and their stepfathers. Jenni’s sisters from her mother’s following marriage will spend Christmas or new Year’s with me. My twins refer to Kalen’s two brothers from his mother’s then-marriage as their brothers from another mother.”
