[굿모닝충청 이동우 기자] The story of Jang Ye-chan, the youth Supreme Council member who was nominated for the Busan Suyeong-gu constituency by the People Power Party in the April 10 general election, continues.

Supreme Commissioner Jang has recently been under fire from public opinion for making comments on social media that seemed to support ‘orgies’. Opposition parties, including the Democratic Party of Korea, also criticized Supreme Council member Jang and demanded his resignation as a National Assembly candidate.

As the controversy did not subside, Supreme Commissioner Jang posted on Facebook on the 12th that he sincerely apologized, saying, “I have caused concern due to inappropriate and unrefined expressions in past SNS posts.”

He said, “Even though it was 10 years ago when I was 26 years old and before I started broadcasting or politics, I think I should have been careful about using unrefined expressions.” He added, “At the time, I was young and wanted to express my opinions on politics and society more strongly. same. He said, “He will be more mature and humble in his words and actions, and become a politician who serves only the people.”

Supreme Commissioner Jang may have hoped that the apology would quell the controversy, but this time, another story broke out. In the past, he posted on social media, “Just as a healthy young man turns into a dog when he wears a reserve military uniform, ordinary middle-aged people turn into a dog when he wears a mountaineering uniform. The statement “#mysteryoffashion” became a problem.

As soon as the remark became known, the opposition party immediately began criticizing it. Choi Min-seok, spokesperson for the Democratic Party of Korea, held a press conference on the 13th and criticized, “Candidate Jang Ye-chan, who views the people as ‘dogs’ and ‘truths,’ and claims to be the representative of the people, is the real ‘truth.’”

Spokesperson Choi said, “Critical remarks such as ‘exploding the animal hospital’, ‘the level of viewers is Mrs. Aema’, and ‘middle-aged people in mountaineering clothes are the truth’ are not expressions of opinion, but hate speech,” adding, “You can only express your thoughts as a way to belittle and belittle someone.” He said, “People who cannot express themselves are just ‘malicious commenters’ and are not qualified to be candidates for the National Assembly.”

The New Reform Party also said, “The more we sell candidate Jang Ye-chan, the more outrageous remarks come out,” adding, “What candidate Jang Ye-chan needs now is for him to take responsibility for the outrageous remarks he made in the past and resign from his position as a candidate.”

Supreme Commissioner Jang has not provided any explanation since the remarks began to be reported in the media. The New Reform Party criticized, “Candidate Jang Ye-chan is trying to make up for all those outrageous remarks with an apology on social media.”
