Japoma Stadium Set to Erupt: Cameroon Gears Up to Host Kenya in Highly-Anticipated Clash on October 11
Cameroon Prepares to Face Kenya in CAN 2025 Qualifiers
Cameroon’s national football team is gearing up to face Kenya on the 3rd day of the CAN 2025 qualifiers.
The Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot) has announced that the match will take place on October 11 at the Japoma stadium in Douala, as confirmed by Thierry Ndoh, the Team Press Officer appointed by Fecafoot.
The decision to play at the Japoma stadium is significant, given that the stadium was previously ruled out due to unavailability. However, Fecafoot has once again chosen this venue, which is expected to be fully operational by September 19, according to assurances from ONIES, the body responsible for managing sports infrastructure.
The choice of stadium raises questions about the involvement of Fecafoot, the Ministry of Sports (Minsep), and coach Marc Brys in the decision-making process. The outcome of this match will be crucial in determining Cameroon’s chances of qualifying for CAN 2025 Morocco 2025.
Following the match in Douala, the Indomitable Lions will travel to Kampala, Uganda, to face Kenya’s Harrambee Stars on the 4th day of the qualifiers. With key players like Vincent Aboubakar, the team must capitalize on these games to position themselves favorably in the qualifying race.
