The rapper and entrepreneur placed a $1 million bet on the Thunder to win the 2025 NBA Championship, possibly netting $3.3 million if they defeat the Indiana pacers in five games. the wager was made through Fanatics Sportsbook, a platform he co-owns with Michael Rubin.
The high-stakes bet preceded the first game between the Thunder and the Pacers. Despite JAY-Z’s confidence in the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Pacers secured a narrow victory on the Thunder’s home court, winning by a single point.
