Chennai: Actor Srikanth has passed away. He was 82 years old. Srikanth is the first hero of Jayalalithaa, the actress and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.
In 1965, he played the lead role of Jayalalithaa in CV Sridhar’s Vennirai Aadai. He has acted in over fifty films. He later starred in comedy roles and as a villain.
Srikanth’s notable films include K Balachander’s Bhamavijayam, Poova Thalaiya, Ethir Nichal and Kashethan Kadavulada. She has acted in more than 200 films in her four-decade-long acting career. Srikanth has also worked in the theater with Major Sundarajan, Nagesh and K Balachander.
He has acted with Sivaji Ganesan, Muthuraman, Sivakumar, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. Srikanth played the villain in Rajinikanth’s first film Bhairavi.
