Perumbavoor ∙ The Anand Farm in Thottuva proves that actor Jayaram is not only a fan of melas, pooras and elephants but also of agriculture. The farm has 100 cows. The 6-acre farm has bananas, jaggery, a variety of fruits and fodder.

The success of the farm is due to the decision to pay special tribute to Jayaram for his outstanding contribution to the field of agriculture along with the Agriculture Award of the Department of Agriculture. Most of the HF breeds are cows. There are also Vechoor and Jersey items. Cows are named after rivers like the Ganges and the Yamuna. There is a special system for waste disposal. The manure is used to generate electricity for the operation of the farm. The cows are reared independently on 6 acres.
