Irish dance-pop artist Jazzy released her debut 13-song album, Peace & Patience, on October 23 via Chaos Records. Spanning a tight 36 minutes, the project centers on two related themes, drawing from her background as a classical violinist turned Dublin DJ/producer.
Peace & Patience Tracklist Themes and Musical Origins
Jazzy selected tracks for the album based on cohesion and personal storytelling, wanting to open up about experiences she goes through rather than remaining a closed book. The title track features uplifting lyrics intended to give people a push amid difficulties in the world and in Ireland. Her musical background started with classical violin lessons in school before she transitioned to singing and exploring tech house and minimal electronic music in Dublin clubs around age 18. Her partner Ross, a resident DJ, taught her how to mix after she practiced on a home controller for a year.
Collaborations With Calvin Harris and Chart Success
The album includes her collaboration Satisfy
with Calvin Harris, which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance Airplay chart in June. The pairing originated after Jazzy’s 2023 solo single Giving Me
reached No. 1 on the Official Irish Singles Chart, knocking Miracle
by Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding into the No. 2 position. Harris messaged her on Instagram to praise the track, and songwriter Theo Hutchcraft later connected them for a studio session in London in December. The 13-song set is sumptuous house-leaning dance pop centered around her gorgeously textured voice, cementing her as a crucial next-gen dance pop hitmaker.
Upcoming Tour Dates and Dublin Release Celebration
Jazzy performed a set at the Los Angeles nightclub Sound on October 23, noting that US audiences regularly request deep cuts from early in her career. For her release day celebration, she plans to visit a Dublin pub with friends before headlining her biggest show to date at the city’s 3Arena on October 24.
Meeting in Los Angeles and Views on Success
Regarding her success, she noted that in Ireland, people will bring you back down to earth if you lose the run of yourself, emphasizing that it is important not to forget where you came from. She stated that it baffles her when people carry on because of success, adding that if anything, you should be happier and kinder, and she does not see why you cannot have success and remain a normal person.
