Jeremy Crawshaw’s path to the NFL wasn’t typical. Years before joining the Denver Broncos as a draftee, the young Australian reached out‍ to Prokick australia, eager to refine his punting skills. He was told to wait until after high school, a common entry point for athletes transitioning from Australian rules football or rugby.

Nathan Chapman, Prokick Australia’s founder, recalled telling the then-14-year-old Crawshaw to be patient. While visiting Prokick occasionally, Crawshaw primarily taught himself through online videos. When he finally joined Prokick full-time, his advanced technique stood out, despite‍ his smaller stature.

Chapman, known as “Chappy,” noted Crawshaw’s dedication to punting. While others played Aussie rules football, Crawshaw focused on developing his leg strength adn adaptability. this dedication soon revealed his potential for a U.S. scholarship.

Crawshaw recalled realizing his talent during practice sessions.Initially‍ drawn to the University of Colorado as of Denver’s beauty, Prokick steered him toward opportunities with ‍early playing time and stylistic fit. Ultimately,‍ his talent‍ aligned with the SEC, leading him to ⁣the University of Florida.

After a year in college, Crawshaw set his sights on the NFL. He earned SEC All-Freshman honors in 2021 and second-team All-SEC in 2023. Last fall, he averaged 46 yards per punt, with 25 landing inside the 20-yard line.

‍ “I was training with ‘Jez’ in February and I still think there’s another 30% left in there,” Chappy saeid. “He’s in the pro environment to ⁣develop in, not the college environment where there’s 40 hours of ‘uni’ a week with college workouts and the strength ⁤guy just sometimes doing random (crap).”
⁣
