Jessie J,37,addressed fans Friday,stating that a prior social media update regarding her breast cancer recovery was “misunderstood.” The “Price Tag” singer clarified that she is still awaiting test results and will be stepping away from social media to prioritize her health and well-being during this cancer journey.
The clarification came after Jessie J posted about the “pros and cons of having breast cancer surgery,” listing “the cancer has all gone” as a positive. She explained that this was intended as a “positive affirmation, NOT a fact,” adding a fingers-crossed emoji in hopes of avoiding misinterpretation.
Though, the singer acknowledged that the message caused confusion. “A weird situation,” Jessie J said. “My fault for not being clearer. But for now,I do not have my results after surgery,which was only 6 nights ago.I pray it will be true soon, but the journey of cancer isn’t that simple, unluckily.”
Jessie J also noted the support she’s received from her partner, Chanan Safir Colman, and their son, Sky.
