Former Little Mix member Jesy Nelson has appealed for public assistance after her black Land Rover Defender, containing essential medical equipment for her infant twin daughters, was stolen from her driveway in Brentwood, Essex, during the early hours of April 20, 2026.

Nelson shared the news via Instagram Stories, explaining that the vehicle held critical hospital supplies needed for the daily care of her daughters, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe, who were diagnosed earlier this year with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), a rare genetic disorder affecting muscle strength and movement.

In her message, Nelson urged anyone with information to contact her directly or notify the police, stating: “Please if any of you have seen or know of any information, can you DM me or contact the police. I have so much of my girls’ hospital equipment in that car that’s really needed.”

The twins, diagnosed with SMA Type 1, require specialized equipment to support essential functions such as breathing, swallowing, and mobility. Nelson has previously described the condition as requiring frequent hospital visits and ongoing medical support, noting in January that long-term implications may include an inability to walk or regain full neck strength.

Since speaking publicly about her daughters’ diagnosis, Nelson has become an advocate for increased awareness of SMA, including supporting updated government plans to introduce newborn screening for the condition to enable earlier detection and treatment.

Nelson rose to fame as a member of Little Mix, one of the United Kingdom’s most successful girl groups, before departing in 2020 to pursue a solo career. Her debut solo single “Boyz” was followed by releases including “Bad Thing.”

As of the time of publication, there have been no updates on the recovery of the vehicle or its contents. Essex Police have been notified of the theft, and Nelson continues to use her platform to amplify the appeal for information.
