Jo Yapp to Depart as Australia Rugby Head Coach After World Cup

Jo yapp,the head coach of Australia’s women’s rugby team,the wallaroos,will step down from her position following the Women’s World Cup in September. The 45-year-old former England captain,appointed in December 2023,cited family reasons for her decision to return to the United Kingdom after her contract expires.
Under Yapp’s leadership, Australia secured their first trophy by winning the WXV2 title in October, which also guaranteed them a spot in the World Cup. She expressed pride in the progress of the Wallaroos program during her 18-month tenure.
“This was a arduous decision as I thoroughly enjoy coaching the Wallaroos, but my family always come first when considering future plans and we have decided to return to the UK onc my contract expires,” Jo Yapp, Former Australia Head Coach said.
