Joel Kinnaman Leads ‘Bishop’ Amazon Crime Thriller Series
Kinnaman Takes on San Francisco’s Elite in New Amazon Thriller “Bishop”
Amazon Prime Video is diving deep into the dark heart of San francisco wiht its new series “Bishop,” a thrilling crime drama starring Joel Kinnaman as the brilliant but battle-scarred homicide detective Bishop graves.
Kinnaman, known for his captivating performances in “Hanna” (also on Prime Video), “For all Mankind,” and “The Killing,” will face his most challenging case yet. “Bishop” follows Graves as he hunts a cunning killer preying on the city’s wealthiest residents. As the killer’s audacious acts gain a disturbing following among the disenfranchised, Bishop uncovers a chilling connection: the murders may lead back to his own father, the powerful Lincoln Graves.
The series is the brainchild of co-creators and executive producers Little Marvin (the creative force behind Prime Video’s horror anthology “Them”) and Tony Saltzman, who will also serve as showrunner. Saltzman previously collaborated with Marvin on ”Them” and boasts an extraordinary resume with credits on “Dexter: New Blood” and “Goliath.” Roy Lee and Miri Yoon of Vertigo will also executive produce. Amazon MGM Studios, where little Marvin has an overall deal, will produce the series.
