The family of Johnny Wactor, the ⁣late “General Hospital” ‍actor, attended the premiere of his final movie, “hi, Mama,” one year after his death. The film premiered‍ June 24 at the Dances with ‍Films festival in Los Angeles.

Following the screening of “Hi, Mama,” Scarlett Wactor, Johnny Wactor’s mother, and his brother, Lance, were ⁢greeted with ⁣a standing ovation, ⁢according to people.

Micah Joe Parker,Wactor’s costar and the film’s producer,described the experience of watching the ⁢movie without Wactor‍ as “surreal.” Parker noted ‍that Wactor’s presence was felt, ⁤adding, ⁢”I thank God that‍ I had the chance to know him, that I had the chance to work ⁤with him, that we got⁣ to make this⁤ film ‍together.”

News of Johnny Wactor’s death emerged in ⁤May 2024.⁣ He was ⁣37. wactor was murdered in Los Angeles ⁤while leaving his second job at a restaurant. ‍Despite efforts to revive him, he was pronounced dead at a local ⁢hospital.

Scarlett Wactor was appointed administrator of her son’s estate ⁤a month after his death. She sought court approval to access his iPhone, ⁢laptop, and desktop computer, hoping‍ to⁢ find⁤ financial information for the estate’s final report.

Scarlett described her attempts to unlock her son’s devices as “frustrating,” expressing her desire to preserve any photos and videos they might contain.

Last year, authorities⁢ arrested three ⁣members of the Florencia 13 gang in connection with Wactor’s death. Robert Barceleau and⁢ Sergio Road were⁤ charged with murder. Leonel Gutierrez, charged with attempted robbery and⁢ grand theft, pleaded guilty and received a four-year prison sentence. Frank Olano, charged‍ as an accessory, pleaded ⁣no contest and was sentenced to⁢ five years and ⁣eight months after his charges were reduced. Barceleau and Road have pleaded not guilty and await trial.
